Roger and his dad ran the McKinney Firefighter 5K, benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of McKinney. Roger went straight from the station and met L.P. there. The kids and I got there shortly before the race started at 7:30. They both made great time and I'm proud of them both. Good job! Can't wait to run with you in November!

Poopie Jems

Ok....gotta have a funny title for this one. Julia's poopin' in the potty now! YEAH! For her first feat she got a beautiful bracelet that she had a great time with for about 30 minutes. She tried to put it on a door knob and it came all to pieces. Daddy had the great idea to go to the dollar store and buy lots of cheap presents and individually wrap them. We put them in a basket on the top of the potty, and each time she went poopies she got a present. It worked! The biggest hit for her were the plastic bugs and snakes. Who would have thought?!

Chalk Art

We played with sidewalk chalk for the first time. Needless to say, it was more fun coloring each other than the sidewalk. Things are always more fun when you get to make a mess. I started it when I told Julia I wanted to give her a green freckle. It was all about the colored freckles after that. Lots of bubbles in the bath afterwards!

Collision with Terrain

I was on the phone last night with MeeMaw and PeePaw (my mom and dad) and JP was acting silly for his captivated audience (he doesn't get it yet that people on the phone can't see him). He was behind me in his playhouse yelling "MOMMY! I'M IN MY PLAYHOUSE!!!!" Got it son...thanks! :) He decided to run full-bore out of the playhouse and smack into a barstool. He immediately got a big purple goose egg on his head. I think the purple goes well with the blue eyes...what do you think?! Yowza!

Sleeping Beauties

JP has decided that he only wants to sleep with Julia. Nevermind that he has his own cozy bed, with his own cozy blanket, and his own cozy pillow that Grammy made. He wants to sleep with Julia. Now...any one who has slept with a wiggly two year old can imagine how sleeping with two can be. Several nights we have awoken to cries that one has fallen out of bed. Guess we're gonna have to convert one of the beds to a full size. Can you tell from the picture which one is the bed hog! :)
