Halloween 2008

Is he supposed to be the Lion or the Tinman?!

Throwing the "candy" at the photo op.

He just saw all the "bounce hops" and this is the look of unbridled excitement.

The shoes!

Pin the tail on the donkey. We had to cover his face with his hat because he wouldn't keep his eyes closed

The kids went as Dorothy and the Scarecrow. Julia was sooooo excited to wear her "sparkly party dress and sparkle shoes"! She grew out of the first pair of ruby slippers I bought her, so I decided to hit the outlet mall and buy some red Converse and decorate them. She still asks to wear them all the time. I also made JP's costume with some felt and rope. They had a wonderful time at Church and I look forward to planning next year's!

Breakfast of Champions

The kids new favorite for breakfast is cereal (Cheerios or Rice Krispies) with bananas and strawberries cut up in it. When Julia wants Rice Krispies she always says, "I want da cereal dat talk a me!" Too cute. They've picked up a little habit from their Daddy....drinking from the bowl. I guess it could be worse. Notice the jammies Ju is wearing!

Caterpillar Fun

Cool glasses guy!

I bought this caterpillar tunnel for the kids when they were about a year old. It has long been a favorite and they are always coming up with new things to do with the tunnel. This time they were getting in the tunnel and standing up in it. I love the creativity a 2 year old has!

Daddy's Little Girl

We were just hanging around the house one day and I picked up the camera. I got some great pictures of Roger and Julia being silly at the kitchen table. All the fun of being a Daddy!

Ice Cream!!!!!!!!!

Shoes A-la-mode

Aaaahhhh!!!

Yummy! Yummy! Yummy!

During the summer we went for dinner and ice cream with our ABF class (Sunday school for those of you not members of Cottonwood Creek). The kids each had a cone of their own and couldn't resist chasing after each other with it. There were lots of other kids there to torment. It was crazy how much of JP's ice cream ended up on his shoes! Needless to say, those got washed the next day!!

This is where I landed

The kids were up playing for a while after they went to bed. I peeked in on them, and found JP asleep in the floor. I guess that was where he landed. They never twitched a muscle with the camera flash. Guess they pooped themselves out.

Pumpkin Carving

Yeah! Finally get to get my hands into something!

Are you sure this is right, Mommy?!

Want some?

Talking to the pumpkins

Discovering they can see the candle inside the pumpkin

About a week before Halloween we sat down to carve our pumpkins. Julia and JP wanted so bad to scoop out the seeds. As soon as Julia touched it, she curled her lip and said "I don't yike it!" HAHA! They thought it was so awesome that we put faces on the pumpkins and made them light up outside. Julia sat down beside the pumpkins after they were lit and said "I'm gonna talk to my punkin now", and started a little conversation with it. Adorable!

Hi! I'm Butterfly Boy!

JP insisted on wearing his sister's butterfly wings and flower headband. Notice the placement of the headband. Definately accents the dinosaur underwear. He called it his "flower belt". We were cracking up! Too funny!!

Twingenuity

This is what happens when you leave twins alone after a nap for a little too long! Roger was dealing with our recent internet issues (by the way....we do not recommend switching to U-Verse) and had to leave the kids for a few minutes longer in their room. Safe, right? When he went in to get the kids from their nap, this is what he found. They were standing ON TOP of the changing table, had pulled out all of the wipes from the wipe warmer and dumped the water from it onto the changing pad, taken ALL of the contents out of their dresser and dumped it on the floor... ARGH...you can only imagine!!

Nom! Nom! Nom! Can't talk Mommy. Nom! Nom! Eating corny dog...

Fearless Faye on the Ferris Wheel

We went to the State Fair of Texas in September. The kids had a blast. It's definately getting a lot more fun since they really know what they like and want to see. As soon as we got there, Julia was asking what the Texas Star was. She definately wanted to ride it. As soon as we got on and it got moving, JP and Julia were bothing giggling like crazy. Never would have thought they would have liked it that much. Hope they remember that!
