Birthday Party

Make a wish!

JP and PawPaw on the slide
What a handsome little fella!
Can strike a pose, even mid-step on a ladder!
We had the kids party at Jump N Land in McKinney. It is a party facility loaded with Bounce Hops! The kids had a blast, as did some of the adults. Lets just say, there are a few guys out there with party-time injuries!
First Trip to Hooters

Yummy! Yummy!

Practicing his LadyKiller wink!

Looks like the wink worked!
After we left the Dallas World Aquarium, everyone was tired and hungry. Interestingly enough, Hooters is one block away! Needless to say, JP was the most handsome guy there and got lots of attention. Gotta love a boy with blue eyes!
Our New Bicycles

The new rides!

All geared up. Gotta protect that noggin!
See my owie? Can you kiss it?

OK...so this is funny. He fell off his bicycle and as I was bending down to help him upright it he said "NO NO NO, Mommy. I need to check it first. Yep, it's broken. I gotta fix it." HAHA! He fiddled with the air stem and said "All fixed!" and got back up to ride some more. His Daddy's son!
Haulin the mail!
We bought the kids bicycles for their birthday. It seems like just yesterday I was carrying around 50 extra pounds on feet that were too swollen to wear shoes. Now they are riding bicycles. It only took about 20 minutes for them to get the hang of it, then they were flying up and down the sidewalk. Of course, can't have all that fun without an ouchie. JP was the first to get a strawberry on his elbow. Get back on that horse, JP!
The Aqueraminin

This friendly little penguin followed JP up and down the glass. JP said "I think he likes me!"

A little comfort from Daddy after being scared by the sharks

In the tunnel where the sharks swim all around you. Guess you can see behind her why she might be scared!

JP was fascinated by the octopus

Julia's favorite was the manatee
On the kids birthday we took them to the Dallas World Aquarium. Julia calls it the "aqueraminin". They had a GREAT time seeing all the animals and fish, and we are all looking forward to going back again!
Carpenter's Apprentice

I'm not sure that's how it's supposed to be done. I'm gonna call somebody who knows!

Measure twice, cut once

Getting ready to cut something with her saw

Gotta make it smooth
Roger building a hutch to add to one of the desks in our office. JP and Julia LOVE to work in the garage and JP was so much help when Roger was building the hutch. I think it might have taken twice as long, but such is life with an apprentice!

Takin' In The Trash

Bringing in the trash

Well, JP...you gonna help or what??

Enjoying a sit on the engine

That's a big ol' bowl of meaty lovin' right there!
We went to the firestation for supper a few weeks ago and Roger decided to bring the trash cans up from the street. Of course, the kids "needed" to help. I'm sure we won't be able to make this happen in 10 years, but here's to doing it while we can!
